Does the WhatsApp QR code expire?

The QR code contains a normal static wa.me link and has no timer. It continues to point to that link while the phone number and WhatsApp link format remain valid.

Can I print the downloaded QR code?

Yes. Test it first, keep the full white margin, and print it large enough for the expected scanning distance.

Free WhatsApp QR code generator

Create a static QR code that opens a WhatsApp chat. Download it as a PNG for a menu, counter sign, event card, parcel insert or printed promotion.

Print it so people can actually scan it

Keep the quiet zone

Do not crop away the white border. A clear margin helps phone cameras recognise the code.

Use strong contrast

Keep the downloaded dark-on-white design. Avoid placing it over a photo or textured background.

Test at real size

Print one sample and scan it from the distance customers will use. The generator cannot confirm whether the number has an active WhatsApp account.
